Ravens Return

 

"When people become spiritual again, the White Ravens will return" ~

I was reminded of the lines from Yeats The Death of Cuchulain

“There floats out there
The shape that I shall take when I am dead,
My soul's first shape, a soft feathery shape...”

which pertains to what John Kercher called the White Feather phenomenon in his book Meredith (Hodder, London 2013)

He writes that when he was at his lowest in despair a white feather appeared magically at his feet. Many of Meredith Kercher's friends also had similar visitations, which he believes was his daughter reaching out to comfort him from beyond the grave.

But this post is really about spiritual journey. In the native traditions, the appearance of white animals, especially White Ravens, denote a time when humanity will become more spiritual.

In my Spiritual Journey to the U.S.  I wrote how we saw a White Eagle driving through the Appalachian Mountains, then our son Raven was born in New York,  and my hopes for the American people. While we were there, a White Buffalo was born in Wisconsin, many more since then. That there were many delays and changes since then. What of it? People started to wake up.

There was a time when darkness covered the earth;
the sun had been stolen.
After much searching, Raven found the sun.
With the sun in Raven’s bill, Raven began the long
 journey to return the sun turning white during the
 trip due to the brightness of the sun.

And now, White Ravens have started to appear RARE WHITE RAVENS ARE INCREASINGLY BEING PHOTOGRAPHED ON VANCOUVER ISLAND B.C.

And when people supported Bernie Sanders in his run for the presidential nomination a bird magically appeared.

And when people went to Standing Rock to protest an oil sands pipeline, protect the water and heal the earth a herd of buffalo magically appeared..

Tomorrow, there will be an election, and it doesn't matter who will win, since the solutions will come from us, not them.

It has been prophesied the forces of resistance to change would get stronger, but so, too, those who would bring change.

As I wrote, only those who were teachers and healers would be able to change this world that has been created. Ravens, are beings of knowledge and creation, they are wise and helpful to all; this the message from White Raven.

But going back to Yeats plays, he also refers to Morrigu, the war goddess who gathers the souls of the great warriors and appears in the form of a black raven. Cuchulain says

Her black wing touched me
And all is intelligible..

And as Cuchulain takes on the bird form of the dead heroes,

"There floats out there
The shape that I shall take when I am dead,
My soul's first shape, a soft feathery shape...

And is it not a strange shape for the soul
Of a great fighting man?"

There will be wars and warriors, and the brave men and women who fight to change the future, will be my comrades, and, all will be intelligible...

God Doesn't Care

Or give a damn either :)

 

On Sept 30, a tornado touched down in the Seattle area. Very unusual weather for that time of the year, remarkable for many things. But mostly, it touches upon the questions I have been asking for some time now. Why do people resist change? Why do they keep making the same mistakes over and over again, when it is wrong for them, and leads to suffering?

 

I have been following the case of the Murder Of Meredith Kercher for some time now. Each killing, each murder by people or through war creates this hole in our collective consciousness which is very sad to observe, from my position of wanting to help humanity, so yes, this particular case became important to me for a while. Not to affect its outcome in any way, but to observe. I still send reminders to people once in a while though :)

 

On Sept. 30, Amanda Knox's appeal against her conviction for the murder of Meredith Kercher began in Florence, Italy. She is awaiting the results of her appeal in her home town of Seattle. Was the tornado a message for her? Does that even matter for people who are so stuck in karma they might not ever listen? There was a funny message for me for sure, the tornado blew the roof off a garage door manufacturer in the US, and I'm waiting for a replacement garage door from the US. Time for me to move on :)

Yesterday, November 08, a super typhoon hit the Philippines, carrying the strongest winds recorded in a very long time, 200 + mph. I spared a thought for an old disciple of mine from the Philippines, Jennifer, who had a very hard time of it changing, and in the end, repeated her mistakes. She was in such a wonderful position to realize her dreams, then backed off to a place where she was comfortable.

The last two weeks have been very interesting for me. My landlord was upset because I refused to let him get away with something, so he threatened to evict me and my family. I told him to go ahead and do what he liked, this isn't the first time of threats and bluster, but, really, I feel sorry for him, he looks ill.

Then I had to go and bail out a friend in court. A whole series of events ensued, and if I hadn't intervened, he would still be under arrest awaiting trial. But the problem arose from his not taking my advice in the first place. When a relationship is over, it's over. Why keep holding on, why do people keep making the same mistakes?

I ran into a fellow healer the other day. He started as a student, didn't continue the training, that was fine. In the first week of training, the Supreme Court passed a ruling that saved him over a million dollars. When it became clear he had reached the limits of his learning with me, I left, since I had no more reason to be there.

Then he got into an er, space where he got married and sunk more than a million dollars into a house he could not sell. It was nice to see him, but also a lesson for others. Another man, the Iranian I went all the way to Tehran to help him and his family, is $5 million in debt because he, too was stuck in a place where he couldn't accept my advice. So, when something is over, move on. It's up to people to get away from their comfort zones, let go of their ego.

Walking home the other night, I came across a skunk on the sidewalk. We said hi to each other, I went home. The Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams and David Carson, has this to say about Skunk Medicine: Respect, but also, boundaries. Respect your self, respect the other, expect respect from others. And if threatened, know how to repel. Otherwise, be nonchalant. If people do not change, then that is life and the human condition, and it is up to them.

But: God does care. That is why you are given knowledge, and wisdom, if only you knew how to use it.

And now, the archangels are dancing in our home, and one of them, Michael, runs in our back yard as a red squirrel, even though their natural habitat is in Europe and Siberia.

Yesterday, a hawk flew over Chloe, then  three more danced over her head, and one landed in a tree, and, ripping a small bird, calmly ate dinner.

This is a message from spirit; it is up to you to follow.  God does care, but first, you must do the right thing.











The Year Of The Water Snake

Be in your element

Be ye therefore, wise as serpents. Matthew 10:16

Even though the year of the water snake officially began this February 10, Chinese astrologers calculated it as having started earlier, on February 04.

Coincidentally, I started teaching astrology to my children since that time, though they have been ransacking my library for ages now :)

So many cultures, the Maya, the Hindu, see the serpent as representative of the flow of energy in the body, and also, in the cosmos.

So I tell my children, who want so much to learn: there is a broad river of energy that flows across all the Universes, that flows from God. Tapping into it gives you great power, but first, you must acquire the wisdom and the humility to go into it.

Here are the ways you can acquire, and use it.

Healing: First, work on yourself, and then, on others. It is for that reason the caduceus, the double serpent, is well known as the symbol of medicine. And when you heal, that power is always to hand.

Teaching: What you learn, you must pass on to others.

Magic: When you acquire that gift, then miracles follow you. As long as it is used wisely, that is. If not, or if that is done just to feed the ego, then, that will turn and destroy you.  

Sexuality: It is not that it cannot be used as a gift for spirituality, for oneness with God, for balancing the male and the female energies, but, that it has been misused, often by teachers and leaders, and the rest of humanity in a way that has caused long lasting harm to the planet. Do not be surprised that the planet should then try to heal itself, and that there will be more and more shocks to your system in the year to come.

Mayan power of the serpent: Last year of the Dragon, and the beginning of the new Mayan Calendar, was to presage this year. Remember, even death is only a beginning of a new journey. Stop holding on to the past, let go of fear, be ready to move on this year by seeing what patterns you need to discard.

Quetzalcoatl, the winged serpent: Quetzalcoatl, or Kukulcan, the winged serpent, represents the dividing line between earth and sky. That I embody a synergy of shamanic and spirit energies, that this is also analogous to the Dragon and Phoenix in Chinese symbology, or Shakti in the Hindu forms, is no coincidence. That Quetzalcoatl is supposed to return now, is no coincidence.

So I teach astrology to my children. As a tool for understanding themselves, or other people, yes it is indeed wonderful. Just see that it is not limited to certain archetypes. There is no good or bad sign, you may have friends and loved ones in every sign, and neither you nor they have to be limited by the limitations that each sign possesses. Because indeed, there is much good in every thing, and you can work with the lessons your karma has brought to you. But yes, if your strength is earth, or water, or spirit, then, you must use it. If you must face your fears, or force yourself to take a chance on being alone, or poor, then, you must.

This is what the year ahead brings. A chance to discover and experience a very deep spirituality. To take a chance on what the Universe brings. It is as always, a choice, and that choice is yours.

When we left Atlan, we looked back one last time at our home. The Blue Planet, so called because it was covered mostly by water. And we flew here to Earth; once again, to a new, blue, planet.

And when we fled the destruction of Atlantis, we were the sailors who sailed the sea, till we found new homes in other, distant lands.

When I do my healing I see, once again, our relationship with water. The energies I pick up and cleanse myself with afterwards, are, water. (Fire and Earth and Air and Spirit too, but that is another article on the natural forces, or energies)

I was reminded recently of how out of balance we are, with water. The number of people who are ill with emotional illness and pain, are out of balance with water. (Cancer is an emotional illness as well, but here I'm only dealing with the energy of water, and our relationship with it)

If you search for Masaru Emoto's images of water, you will see the beauty within it. His crystalline pictures are stunning.

Our connection with the Psychic, or emotional chakras is thrown out of balance and only by exploring those energies can we start our own healing. But I want to speak about water.

It is no coincidence that Australia and Germany had catastrophic floods recently. The Earth itself is out of balance and has lost its ability to nourish us, but must heal itself. Hence, the changes in weather and other disasters in the making. This time last year we had the earthquake in Haiti. The year before that the War against Gaza, another imbalance which is a result of the imbalance within us.

And then again, the floods in England just after we arrived in 2007. The vision of the Asian Tsunami I had ten years before it actually happened. The visions of more, to come.

The earth, like us, consists of water. The weather that affects our food supply depends on the oceans, our climate on the balance between warm and cold ocean currents, and human life, on a safe supply of water to drink. Yet we continue, in our blindness and greed, to exploit and pollute it in a manner that can only be called insane. If there's one last pristine source of water left, we will want to exploit it for a mining company, or oil sand processing facility, or Coca Cola. And we add a known neuro-toxin like Fluoride to our drinking water and pay a ridiculous premium for bottled water. And, after vaccinations, the primary cause of cancer in society is the pollutants we pump into our air and water. As I said, insane.

But you already know all that. You just don't know how to fix that.

There is a river that flows across the Universe. When it hits this planet it will sweep us all away. Don't fight it, just ride it like a surfer riding a wave.

And those who are ready, follow me.

Ps: As I write this in June 2011, radioactive waste from the Fukushima nuclear meltdown continues to pour into the Pacific Ocean. This may turn out to be one of the greatest environmental disasters, ever. What will it take to get people to wake up and heal the planet?

A Bird Came For Healing

In 2004 an American Bittern flew into my backyard during a rain storm and sat there all day in the pouring rain. It was obviously sick so I went out and did a healing on it, and it flew away. The American Bittern's natural habitat (in the spring, when this happened) is almost a thousand miles away. My wife Chloe's aunt passed away that night. A little while before that Chloe was out in the garden and saw a huge Merlin Falcon circling overhead. She and our neighbour both stared at it for a while. The neighbour's wife came out briefly to look then went back inside. She passed away from a sudden heart attack that night.

Two Canada Geese landed at my in-laws home and stayed for hours in their garden. The geese were followed by a hawk. It had striking red feathers on its front and sides, and leather tresses that indicated it had belonged to a falconer, but somehow it was either lost, or roaming at will. It came by every day and sat in a tree in her garden, and she sang to it. She identified it from National Geographics Book of Birds of North America as a Harris Hawk, which is found only in the South Western U.S. and South America. A long way from home. When it was caught they saw the owner's phone number. He was surprised to hear from her, for the Hawk had flown away 2 1/2 years ago from San Diego, California. 3000 miles away. He came up in a plane to take it home.

Margit, my mother in law, was about to throw out a tropical plant her other daughter had given to her 12 years ago. It had stubbornly refused to bloom, and she wanted to clean up. Within two hours of the birds showing up, there were buds all over, and now is in bloom. She recognises that was a miracle meant for her.Two songbirds showed up in our garden and sing all day long now. Our daughter Gebbriel started to sing to them, and her sounds are just like the birds', so they sing back to her.

We must look at the first message. Why are birds coming to us for healing? I believe, because of the imbalance of Earth's energy which has been so distorted by Man that Man himself is distorted. A reminder, then, to follow our own healing, which must go alongside with healing the Earth.

Then: We all have a passion for learning, and the freedom to follow our path. Those of you who've read my previous e-mails about birds know I see them as messengers from God, from spirit. Sometimes they signify a death (going into spirit) but really it's a letting go of your ego, which can be a death of the old you also. (Angels can appear for that reason too) The message is, follow your path, and do not let anger, fears or emotions hold you back. The message is about freedom, but know this: It is not others we need to be free of, but from ourselves that we need to free, and let go of all the things that hold us back. I wish you much love.
